Tools we like: Crochet hook set Stitch marker set Sock knitting loom Small gauge loom Market Canopy Weights Info: Ch1 does not count as a stitch. You'll need: L hook 8mm, Charisma yarn/weight 5 bulky, yarn needle, scissors. Pattern: Chain 11. 1.SC in the back bumps of the chain (10) turn. 2.Ch1. SC (10) turn. 3.Ch1, SC, 8SC in BLO, SC. (10) Repeat Row 3 until you finish Row 38. 39-40.Repeat Row 2 twice. Fasten off, leave a tail to sew ends together. Fold the ends together like interlocking C’s. (See photo) Sew straight across. Fasten off and sew in ends.

To make it less slouchy, remove rounds 6-9.  You'll need: i hook 5.25mm, Size 4 (worsted weight) yarn, scissors, yarn needle. If you have tight tension, try a 6.5 hook. US terminology  *: repeat begins, repeat will be in bold. Ch1 does not count as a stitch. Ch3 will count as (hdc, ch1.) (HDC, ch1, hdc) Counts as 3 st. HDC: yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over & pull a loop through, yarn over and pull through all the loops on the hook. **Counts will depend on your tension and hook size. To use a different sized yarn/hook, use a multiple of three plus two (3x+2) chains and make to fit considering the stretch and head size.  Bobble- yarn over, insert into st and pull through a loop, y/o and insert into same st and pull through a loop, yarn over and insert into same stand pull through a loop. Crocheting a kiwi!

 Hello all! Tools we like: Crochet hook set Stitch marker set Sock knitting loom Small gauge loom Market Canopy Weights I'm currently working on a large kiwi bird  in cotton. I'm using a tan/beige color for the beak and feet, and three different browns for the body. Maybe three different browns is a bit much, but I really want to add some highlight while not making it very colorful. I've used 14mm sparkle eyes here as well! I can't wait to see it all done, I've been debating on whether I want to make a kiwi slice for the bottom, or if I'm going to make just the bird. I think my sense of humor sometimes runs away with me! I've also made this super cute dolphin out of Bernat Blanket yarn, this is a paid pattern by crochetbykittengrll  and it turned out quite large in the blanket yarn!
